Reed Valley Orchard is family owned orchard, located in a rural backroads country setting. 3,000 plus fruit trees grace the 120 acre farm consisting of more than 50 varieties of apples, several varieties of peaches, pears (including the largest Asian pear planting in Kentucky), blackberries, blueberries, black raspberries and much more.
Reed Valley Orchard is mentioned in "ROMANTIC KENTUCKY" written by Sutton & Salisbury. The following is from their book on page 15:"Reed's has a wonderful selection of apples, and they even sell "piebags"--a variety of different apples that are just the right mix of flavors and textures for a fabulous apple pie. (Nothing says love like homemade pie, right?) After picking your produce, you can spread out a blanket and picnic along an old stagecoach trail where Frank and Jesse James once camped."
